Label Materials
PHOTOSENSITIVE ANODIZED ALUMINUM - The preferred option for durable labels, nameplates, equipment panels and more. The label's image is permanently sealed within the anodic layer making it virtually impervious to chemicals, heat, abrasion, salt spray and UV. Photosensitive anodized aluminum meets an array of commercial, government and military specifications including MIL-STD-130N for Department of Defense UID data matrix bar code applications. Our standard material offering is available in the following thicknesses: .003", .005", .012", .020", .032" and .063"
CORROSION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL (CRES) - Stainless steel is great for harsh environments when you need identification for equipment in harsh environments. Our standard offering is 20 gauge, 316 graded material.
VINYL - Premium vinyl is UV and weather resistant and can be used with one color to full color digital images. Labels can replicate the look of metal when using a matte finished silver or matte finished gold vinyl. Both static cling and pressure-sensitive labels with adhesive backing are available.
POLYESTER - Polyester decals are durable and won't shrink or stretch. They are usually manufactured with pressure-sensitive, permanent, acrylic adhesive. This gives them a long lifespan for both indoor and outdoor use. They are stiffer than vinyl and are best applied to flat or gently curved surfaces.
LEXAN / Polycarbonate - Allows for sub-surface printing, providing permanent protection from fading. Chemical and abrasion resistant and UV impervious. Most commonly used for control panels, instrument facings and overlay, nameplates and prototype labels.
MYLAR - A polyester or plastic transparent film that has excellent resistance to moisture, most chemicals and can withstand extreme temperatures. It is non-yellowing, non-tearing and non-conductive.
